Hi guys! For my fourth Halloween Costume idea for this year, I present to you this super adorable Gumball Machine costume!! I've been waiting since last Halloween to make this costume, and I'm so very happy with how it turned out. Hola chicos! Aquí les muestro otro de mis ideas de disfraces para Halloween hechos en casa: Una máquina de chicles! He querido hacer este disfraz desde Halloween del año pasado, así que se imaginarán lo felíz que estoy de que por fin lo pude hacer! Sigan leyendo para ver cómo ustedes también pueden hacer este disfraz en sus casas, es bien sencillo!

Clothing and Accessories:
I made this costume using an affordable red dress from Forever 21 (I bought it for about $15), some fabric glue, and lots of colorful pompons. You will also need some grey felt and a black marker to make the gum dispenser. I decided to also wear my clear plastic purse (which I bought from Forever21) to resemble the plastic cover of the gumball machine.
Ropa y Accesorios:
Hice este disfraz usando un vestido rojo económico que compré en Forever 21 (lo compré por alrededor de $15), un poco de pegamento de tela, y un montón de pompones coloridos. También vas a necesitar un poco de fieltro gris y un marcador negro para hacer el dispensador de chicle. Decidí también usar mi cartera de plástico transparente (que compré en Forever21) para asemejarse a la cubierta de plástico de la máquina de chicles.
To make the dress, just follow these 6 simple steps:
1. Lay the dress out on a table and place a piece of cardboard under the area you want to start working on.
2. Use fabric glue to add pompons all over the top part of the dress. Try to vary the colors throughout the dress.
3. Keep covering the top of the dress including the straps (if any).
4. Then turn the dress around and cover the other side with pompons as well.
5. Cut out a small rectangle of grey felt. Then use a black marker to draw the 25 cents sign and the gum dispenser.
6. Use fabric glue to add the gum dispenser to the dress.
All done!
Para hacer el vestido, sólo tienes que seguir estos 6 pasos sencillos:
1. Coloca el vestido sobre una mesa y coloca un trozo de cartón debajo de la zona donde deseas empezar a trabajar.
2. Utiliza pegamento de tela para añadir pompones a toda la parte superior del vestido. Trata de variar los colores.
3. Sigue pegando hasta que que cubras toda la parte superior del vestido con pompones (incluyendo las tiras del vestido si los hay)
4. Luego gira el vestido y cubre toda la parte de atrás también con pompones.
5. Corta un pequeño rectángulo de fieltro gris y utiliza un marcador negro para dibujar los 25 centavos y el dispensador de chicle.
6. Utiliza pegamento de tela para pegar el dispensador de chicle sobre el vestido.
Y con eso terminastes!

Pompons headband:
At the last minute, I decided to also whip together this cute headband to add even more color to this costume. I simply grabbed a black headband and used fabric glue to add a couple of pompons to it. It made for the perfect finishing touch!
Bincha de Pompones:
En el último momento, decidí hacer también esta bincha de pompones para agregar aun más color a este disfraz. Simplemente usa el pegamento de tela para agregar pompones a una bincha negra. Me encanta como la bincha le da ese toque final perfecto!

Makeup:
I decided to keep the makeup simple this time around. I would definitely suggest a bright red lipstick like the one I'm wearing to pop with the rest of the red in this costume ;)
Maquillaje:
Decidí mantener mi maquillaje bastante sencillo esta vez. Sin duda recomiendo usar un lipstick rojo como el mío para resaltar aún más los tonalidades de rojo que tiene el disfraz ;)

And there you have it everyone!! Don't forget to take some gum with you so that you can blow gum bubbles for photos! hehehe.

I hope you have all enjoyed my DIY costume ideas for this year. The last Halloween costume idea I'm going to post is my "real" costume (meaning the one I'm actually wearing on Halloween). As I do every year, I will be posting this costume after Halloween so that it remains a surprise... I'm so excited to show you guys though, woohoo!

La última idea de disfraz de Halloween que voy a publicar este año es mi disfraz "real" (es decir, el disfraz que en realidad me voy a poner el día de Halloween). Como siempre hago todos los años, voy a publicar este último disfraz después de Halloween para que se mantenga en secreto y sea una sorpresa... Estoy muy emocionada por mostrárselos, weee!!
